With funding from East Devon District Council, LED were able to update the indoor Tennis courts at Exmouth Tennis & Fitness centre from carpet to Proflex.
The courts were formally opened by Councillor Nick Hookway, Portfolio Holder Culture, Leisure, Sport and Tourism on Friday 24th November ahead of the centres annual Children In Need fundraiser.
Cushioned acrylic proflex create the ideal tennis court surfaces which is extremely durable and resistant to wear, making it last for years. Proflex has a cushioning effect which isn’t affected by wear or seasonal temperatures. The cushioning mat, which forms part of the Proflex flooring, comes with a uniform thickness, so wherever the ball bounces on the court, it will be a true bounce and is gentler on the knees allowing for more play!
