Gymnastics at LED
Devon Gymnastics has been working with LED Community Leisure for over 25 years offering fun, progressive recreational gymnastics for children from 2 years through to adults. Our classes are run by qualified coaches with the support of assistant coaches and CIT volunteers(coaches in training). Our team offer supportive, dynamic sessions catering for all abilities, covering a range of skills to help build the fundamentals of gymnastics right through to more complex competitive skills. Whether you are stating or returning on your gymnastics journey there can be a lot of questions from children, parents & participants. Please see our overview below.

Where are sessions located:
At present our sessions take place at Exmouth & Sidmouth Leisure Centre.
Exmouth runs Mondays & Saturdays
Sidmouth runs Mondays & Thursdays
How do we book:
For Sidmouth sessions this can be booked via the app, at reception or by calling 0800 228 9076, these are booked first come first served, places are limited.
Exmouth currently has a waiting list for classes, to be added to our waiting list please send an email to: devongymnastics@gmail.com where an auto reply will ask for more information.
What should you wear/bring:
We ask gymnasts to attend ready for activity with PE style clothes. Leotards / t shirts, leggings and shorts are all suitable. We ask for NO denim, crop tops or jewellery for health, safety & hygiene. Socks are optional. We do have club clothing & leotards but these are optional to purchase and are currently available at our Exmouth site.
Can Spectators Watch:
At our Sidmouth location there are benches located to the side of the main hall where the class takes place. We ask that spectators keep noise to a minimum and not to approach the mats when sessions are running. At Exmouth we do not have spectators in our weekly sessions but we do run parent watch weeks at the end of term and gymnasts can be seen through windows during the sessions.
Awards
As part of our program we follow a national gymnastics Award scheme, this is incorporated into our weekly sessions where we constantly monitor and note there achievements. In addition to this we also run 1-2 assessment sessions a term to target specific areas and help complete a level. We also occasionally run Accelerate Awards which are sessions specifically focused on achieving a level/award.
Competitions & Progression
As a recreational club we realised not all gymnasts want to compete and often once they start on the journey many change there mind. We run annual events 2-3 times a year across our Exmouth & Sidmouth sites, these are open to all our gymnasts. We also have connections with a couple of clubs based in Devon who invite us along to friendly competitions and who also join us
