In a thrilling evening of LED team members displaying, grit, skill and nerves of steel, the LED Team emerged victorious in the 5-a-side football competition at the Funder Games on Wednesday 13th August, clinching the win in a dramatic penalty shootout at the training ground of Exeter City.
The Funder Games, a multi-sport charity event supporting Hospiscare, brought together businesses from across the region to compete in a series of challenges designed to foster camaraderie, raise funds, and showcase sporting spirit. Among the standout moments of the day was the fiercely contested football tournament, where LED battled through the rounds to reach the final.
The final match was a nail-biter, ending in a draw that led to penalties. Like the lionesses, the LED team came out on top, sending waves of celebration through our camp 🙂
