Welcome to LED Community Leisure Ltd, a charitable Community Benefit Society, where community is at the heart of everything we do. With around 10,000 members, we exist to provide leisure, health and community services for everyone. Operating 13 public Sports and Leisure facilities across East Devon.

Gym Consultation
During this personalised one-on-one session with a member of our fitness and wellbeing team, you’ll receive dedicated attention tailored to your needs. The session can last up to an hour, depending on your availability and specific requirements.
- Comprehensive Assessment: We’ll discuss your exercise history, nutritional status, aspirations, and goals. This information will guide our approach throughout the session
- Exercise education: Our expert will demonstrate how to use the equipment and exercise for the customer. You’ll gain confidence in handling the machines and tools.
- Open Q&A: Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Whether it’s about technique, form, or general fitness advice, we’re here to provide answers.
- Personalised Programme Outline: By the end of the session, you’ll receive a basic 30-minute programme tailored to your needs. We’ll also equip you with the knowledge on the exercises and the new steps.
Programme
In this focused 30-minute session, our expert fitness and wellbeing coach will guide you through a professionally crafted personal programme designed specifically for your unique goals and objectives.
- Tailored Programme: Your individual needs and aspirations will be considered as we create a programme just for you.
- Confidence Building: We’ll empower you with the knowledge and confidence to work effectively with the programme.
- Equipment Setup Coaching: Our team member will walk you through equipment setup, ensuring you’re comfortable and ready to go.
- Intensity Guidance: You’ll receive coaching on exercise intensity, helping you maximise your workout.
At the end of the session, you’ll be well-prepared to continue your fitness journey independently.
Programme Update
This is a focused 30-minute sessions to review your programme and give further advice on exercise and intensity levels.
Health Check
During the 30-minute session, our coach will assess several key health indicators to ensure your wellbeing. These include:
- Blood Pressure Measurement: We’ll monitor your blood pressure to gauge your cardiovascular health.
- Peak Flow Test: This test evaluates your lung function and respiratory capacity.
- Grip Strength Assessment: We’ll measure your grip strength, which is an indicator of overall physical strength.
- Inbody Analysis: Our advanced Inbody assessment provides insights into body composition, including muscle mass, fat percentage, and hydration levels.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a better understanding of your health status, and our coach will provide personalised recommendations based on the results.
Fitness Assessment
A 60-minute fitness assessment is a crucial step in the journey toward improved health and wellness. During this process, our fitness and wellbeing coach will engage in open and meaningful conversations with clients to assess their current fitness levels.
- Movement and flexibility Assessment: Basic movement assessments to evaluate posture, flexibility, and any potential imbalances.
- Blood Pressure Measurement: We’ll monitor your blood pressure to gauge your cardiovascular health.
- Peak Flow Test: This test evaluates your lung function and respiratory capacity.
- Grip Strength Assessment: We’ll measure your grip strength, which is an indicator of overall physical strength.
- Body Composition Analysis: Our advanced Inbody assessment provides insights into body composition, including muscle mass, fat percentage, and hydration levels.
- Endurance Assessment: Evaluates your ability to sustain physical effort over an extended period, range of tests from VO2 max test, walking test and step test.
Nutrition Consultation
A 30-minute personalised nutrition consultation with one of our fitness and wellbeing coaches where we will get to understand:
- Goal Setting: Understand client goals.
- Health & Lifestyle: Gather relevant information.
- Nutrition Analysis: Assess current eating habits.
- Physical Metrics: Evaluate body composition.
- Visuals & Motivation: Use pictures for inspiration.
- Food Diary: Encourage tracking.
InBody Consultation
A 15-minute InBody consultation provides valuable insights into the members body composition and overall health.
Body Composition Analysis:
- Using the InBody device, we measure:
- Body weight
- Muscle mass
- Body fat percentage (including subcutaneous and visceral fat)
- Body water percentage
- Interpretation:
- We’ll explain your results and what they mean for your health and fitness.
- You’ll gain a deeper understanding of your body’s composition.
- Based on your unique profile, we’ll provide tailored advice to the member or book them into the following:

PT Taster Session
A 30-minute PT taster session is a fantastic opportunity for the member to dip their toes into the world of personal training.
- Experience It Firsthand: Get a taste of what working with a personal trainer (PT) feels like. It’s like a test drive for your fitness journey.
- Tailored Guidance: During the taster session, the PT will provide personalised guidance based on your goals and abilities.
