Exmouth Tennis & Fitness Centre

We’re not ones to brag. But our tennis centre serves up some of the finest facilities in the West Country.

Brush off your backhand and fire up your forehand with six indoor courts (4 proflex and 2 acrylic) as well as outdoor courts available for hire. We run a wide selection of tennis classes for all abilities too, where our amazing coaches will take your game to the next level. There’s also a fabulous gym as well as our Outdoor Training Zone for your strength and cardio training. Plus a café and bar for those post-workout refreshments.

To top it all off? Free parking. Game, set and match.

Junior Activities

Keeping juniors active

At LED we offer a wide range of Junior Activities including Swimming, Mini Tennis, Trampolining, Gymnastics and Junior Badminton to name just a few.

Our Get Active offer means all children aged 11-15 can now train in our gyms as long as they are supervised by a responsible adult over the age of 18.

With a range of surfaces to play on, including a much sought-after public access grass court, you will be spolit for choice on where to take your game into the fresh air. LED are proud to have some of the best outdoor multi surface tennis courts in the South West at Phear Park, Seafield Gardens, Coburg Fields, Buckler’s Mead and Honiton.

Tennis at Exmouth Tennis & Fitness Centre

Exmouth Tennis & Fitness Centre boasts some of the greatest courts in the South West.  Proud to be the only indoor proflex courts in the South West – making tennis an all-year game. The cushioned acrylic proflex create the ideal tennis court surfaces which is extremely durable and resistant to wear. Proflex has a cushioning effect which isn’t affected by wear or seasonal temperatures. The cushioning mat, which forms part of the Proflex flooring, comes with a uniform thickness, so wherever the ball bounces on the court, it will be a true bounce and is gentler on the knees allowing for more play!

Alongside our impressive range of indoor courts are our selection of outdoor courts. Members always get priority booking too!

New players are eligible for a FREE Tennis Assessment with a member of our Coaching Team who will provide you with a player level and recommend the sessions on our programme suitable to you.

We offer a variety of Coach led Tennis Classes including:

  • Matchplay
  • Cardio Tennis
  • Triples
  • Walking Tennis

If you are looking to improve your game, look no further!

Our team of LTA Accredited Tennis Coaches provide group coaching in the form of Masterclasses. Here you will be taught how to play the game we all love!

If you’d really like to fine tune your techniques, our Coaching Team off Private Coaching too.

Junior Tennis

Junior Classes

New players are entitled to a FREE tennis trial on one of our Coaching Sessions. During this trial, your child will be assessed by the Coach and advised on the most suitable group for their tennis development!

Our Saturday morning Classes operate on a Pay and Play basis, with sessions available for all player levels! Our Classes are a great way into tennis for new players as we aim to make sure every child hits lots of tennis balls and has even more fun!

Saturday morning Classes run 50 weeks of the year, stopping during the Christmas Holidays.

Junior Coaching Courses are suitable for juniors of all ages and abilities and are available during weekdays after school. Please see our Junior Tennis Programme and Junior Tennis Pathway for further details!

Our Courses run during the Devon School Term times and throughout half terms.

Camps are all about having fun on a tennis court! Juniors aged 5 – 17 years and all abilities are welcome. If your child has never played tennis before then look no further, as Tennis Camps are one of the best ways to start!

Our Tennis Camps run during the Devon School Easter and Summer Holidays.

In order to uphold our safeguarding responsibilities customers are reminded that any children aged under 8 may not be left unsupervised on site, including children taking part in coached activities. A parent, carer or nominated responsible person over the age of 16 must remain on site and be contactable at all times.
