Exmouth Half HYROX Simulation Event Results

After much planning, our Half HYROX Simulation Event was a fantastic success!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to take part, as well as to those who generously volunteered their time to ensure the day ran smoothly. We’ve put together a short overview to highlight what made the event so special.

What is the Half HYROX Simulation?

This event replicates the globally recognised HYROX race format at half distance. It’s designed to be more accessible while still delivering a serious physical challenge.

Participants move through a series of functional fitness stations, with 500m runs between each one. This creates a full-body test of strength, stamina, and mental resilience.

It’s fast-paced, highly motivating, and guaranteed to leave you with a huge sense of achievement.

Event Format

Competitors completed the following sequence:

🏃 500m Run (before each station)
⛷️ 500m SkiErg
🛷 25m Sled Push
🛷 25m Sled Pull
🔄 40m Burpee Broad Jumps
🚣 500m Row
🏋️ 100m Farmers Carry
🎒 50m Sandbag Lunges
🎯 50 Wall Balls

Each station was designed to challenge a different component of fitness, ensuring a well-rounded and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Overview of the Day

The event day was packed, with an incredible turnout across all categories:

  • 13 Men’s Singles
  • 10 Ladies’ Singles
  • 5 Ladies’ Doubles
  • 4 Mixed Doubles

Our first competitor set off at 8:00am, making the most of the cooler morning temperatures. Athletes continued to start throughout the day, with the final waves heading out at 1:00pm.

Despite the blazing sun, every participant brought their absolute best. The energy throughout the event was electric, with competitors pushing their limits and supporting one another every step of the way.

A special mention must go to our amazing volunteers, whose dedication ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

Event Feedback

While we were incredibly proud of how the event came together, it was even more rewarding to hear such positive feedback from participants:

“It was a brilliant event. Very well run and great atmosphere. Thanks to all the team and volunteers!”

As this was our first event, there were naturally a few small teething issues. However, the valuable feedback we received will help us refine and improve—ensuring the next event is even bigger and better.
